The Tree of Life is a beautiful wall-mounted sculpture located in Akiva’s central lobby. The Tree of Life is a significant artistic element that metaphorically incorporates the decades of ruach which has sustained the school. The tree trunk abstractly spells Chaim (in Hebrew), a literal reference to the Torah being regarded as the Tree of Life for the Jewish people. This sculpture has the most visibility in the school and is passed by anyone who enters the doors of our campus. There are a finite number of metal leaves and stones for inscribed dedications.
